Tea ceremony is one of the most meaningful traditions held in a Chinese wedding. Many couples still include this tradition on their special day despite having accustomed to a more western style of living. During this ceremony, the bride and groom are formally introduced to each other’s family members, and serve tea to their respective families as a sign of respect.

Guidance on the Tea Ceremony

Assistance on creating a "Tea Drinking List" to indicate the order of tea serving

A checklist of the essential items

One detailed coordination meeting

Assistance on preparing the tea set and tea making

"Tea Lady" on the day of the wedding to assist the preparation & serving of the tea. The "Tea Lady" will also host the Tea Ceremony by giving auspicious words of blessing to the family during the presentation

Ensure proper setup and that the Tea Ceremony runs smoothly

Tea set, kneeling pillows, and other traditional Chinese wedding essential items and decoration are available for rental or purchase

​Traveling cost: If the location of the event exceeds 50km (round trip) from our location (H8N 2A5), there will be an extra traveling cost of $2.00 CAD per extra km
